Setting Up the Moving/Changing Box Movie

Firstly, open a new Flash file. Then create a movie clip instance and name it ChangingBox. In the first frame of ChangingBox create a simple square using the box drawing tool. Choose any color you desire. It does not have to be perfectly square but should be close. The top left corner of the box should be placed at (0,0) x and y point. In the fifth frame, add a Keyframe and create a motion tween. Label the frame "movebox". A number of frames down the timeline add another keyframe, and then 5 frames after that one another keyframe, and a final keyframe a number of frames further. The example has a keyframe at Frame 16, 21, and 31 - for our purposes here, we will work work with the example's Frame numbers.

On Frame 16, alter the alpha to zero (Tween Properties --> Color Effect --> Alpha) and move the box to the right so that it is at an x point roughly double the width of the box. The y coordinate should remain zero. Then copy Frame 16 and paste it on Frame 21. In the frame after the last keyframe add a Blank Keyframe, in the example it is Frame 22 (you may have to remove the motion tween). Set an Action in the Frame Parties to "Goto and Stop (1)".

In order to create the mouseover button, copy Frame 1. Then create a new symbol, make it a button and name it BoxButton. In the first frame of the BoxButton instance paste the frame you just copied. Then return to the Changing Box Movie.
