Introduction

This tutorial discusses four useful actionscript techniques: the first will demonstrate how embedded for loops can be used to create a grid/table of duplicated MCs, the second will show you how to center anything on the stage via actionscript (in this file we'll center the grid of duplicated MCs), the third technique will exemplify the judicious use of functions within duplicated MCs, and the last technique will demonstrate how variables placed on the main timeline can be used to pass data to scripts within MCs on the stage and vice versa. Since the scripting is self working, a person can easily substitute his/her own pic-clip without knowing how the scripts work.
