How do we move around the image?
The window is your users' eyes to the world that you have created. The the user places his mouse over hotspot areas on the image, we will be moving his window to another area in the image. Well - not exactly. That's the effect we will have achieved, but we will actually be moving the IMAGE within the window - right and left. First, we establish "sensitive areas" which function as the navigation for the VR. I actually drew them up so you can see it for yourself:
Fig. 5 - Speed Zones, implemented in the viewer
So placing the mouse over the "Fast Left" will create the appearance of scrolling to the left (move the large image to the right), placing the cursor on the "Fast Right" looks like looking to the right and so on and so forth.
