Creating 'Track-Points' in Adobe After Effects and using them in a Flash Animation - Page 3
Step 2: Converting 'Track-Points' to XML with Excel
-Start Excel
-Left-Click on the place where the arrow points to so you select all fields.
-Right-Click on the same place -> select something that sounds like 'cell-properties/properties/cell-eigenschappen' -> select something that sounds like 'tekst/text/txt/plain text' -> Ok/Accept.
-CLick on the first field in the document at the left-top (A1), so only that one is selected.
-Edit -> Paste (CTRL+V / APPLE+V)
And there you have it, a list of values and stuff, doesn't matter just leave it that way.
-File -> Save as... -> Select "xml-worksheet/xml-werkblad" -> Give it a name, or not... -> Save.

-You can exit Excel now.
Only for (AFAIK) EXCEL-NEWER-THAN-2000 users:
-Open Notepad or alike: Start -> all Programs -> Bureau-accessoires -> Notepad
-File -> Open -> Browse to the xml and open it.

-On the 2nd line or so you'll find the text ''.
-Delete it.
-File -> Save as -> Overwrite your current xml. !!!This step is crucial, else ActionScript won't be able to read the file as XML.
