First you create the required objects, i.e., the MovieClips with text in them: cat, rabbit, mouse, ...

Then you duplicate all of them so that you have one word in the final position:

final position

and the same word (the duplicate) in the initial position.

initial position

The MovieClips in the final position have the instance names:

  • rabbit
  • cat
  • mouse
  • dog
  • parrot

These won't be visible (nor draggable). Basically, they only serve one purpose: be the target.

The MovieClips in the initial position have the instance names:

  • rabbit_draggable
  • cat_draggable
  • mouse_draggable
  • dog_draggable
  • parrot_draggable

These are visible and draggable.

All of these MovieClips have to have the same Base Class - DraggableObject - which is a custom Class that you'll meet next. Although not all are meant to be draggable, as you've already seen, it's just a way to save the work of creating different MovieClips.

Right-click the items in the Library and and select Properties. Check "Export for ActionScript" and insert DraggableObject for the Base Class.

Click "OK".

If you see this warning

class not found

just click "OK" again.

If you do this for all the 5 words, this is what you'll get:

» Description: Hmm... what to say about this one? It's reminiscent of the closing notes of the opening music from the Three Stooges done in a church organ style with a closing cymbal crash. I'll give this one away gratis, but feel free to check out my free loops and potential upcoming license-mandated ones over in the respective part of Flashkit.
