The Script - Part One
In the clock movieclip add a layer and name it actions. Highlight the first frame and go to Window > Actions to open the actions dialog.
Using set variable define a variable named mydate and enter the new date objectObjects > Date > New Date as the value. (Remember to set the value to expression)
