xperc = perc/100;
barlength = 200;

These lines set a couple more variables. xperc stores the percentage in decimal format (0.1 to 1.0). barlength stores the maximum width of our loadbar (remember that rectangle you named bar).

Now the rest of the code:

if ((perc == 100) and (bar._width == barlength)){

//checks the percentage of the movie that is
//loaded. If the movie is fully loaded it tells
//the main timeline to goto frame 2 and play.
//It also checks to make sure that the loading bar
//has made it all the way across.

} else {
	nperc = perc+"%"; //gives a percentage readout in the text box you created.
	bar._width = barlength*xperc; //makes the bar grow.
	bar._x = -100+(bar._width/2);//keeps the bar in place.

now all you have to do is add it to your movie.

» Description: Hmm... what to say about this one? It's reminiscent of the closing notes of the opening music from the Three Stooges done in a church organ style with a closing cymbal crash. I'll give this one away gratis, but feel free to check out my free loops and potential upcoming license-mandated ones over in the respective part of Flashkit.
