Open up Flash 5 and name the default layer something relevant like 'Clock Interface'. The size of the movie will depend on the size of your graphic.

Now we need to import your graphic, so first, select the first key frame and then go to the Menu at the top of the page and click on File > Import and select your clock template graphic file.This will insert the graphic into frame 1 on the timeline.

and then double click on it to open up the action script 'Frame Actions' dialog box. Click on the frame actions tab and insert the following script:

// Script to get the time string from the newDate object
newDate = new Date();
myHour = newDate.getHours();
// If the hour display is less than 2 digits, add an extra 0
if (length(myHour)<2) {
myHour = "0" + myHour;
myMinute = newDate.getMinutes();
if (length(myMinute)<2) {
myMinute = "0" + myMinute;
mySecond = newDate.getSeconds();
if (length(mySecond)<2) {
mySecond = "0" + mySecond;
// Space out the HH:MM:SS

displayTime = myHour + ":" + myMinute + ":" + mySecond;

Tip: Copy & Paste the above script into your Flash movie.

» Description: Hmm... what to say about this one? It's reminiscent of the closing notes of the opening music from the Three Stooges done in a church organ style with a closing cymbal crash. I'll give this one away gratis, but feel free to check out my free loops and potential upcoming license-mandated ones over in the respective part of Flashkit.
