The Function Armoury - An Introduction
|
Eval
|
Syntax: Eval (Variablename)
|
Allows variables and expressions to be evaluated at runtime. For Example:
Set Variable: "name6" = "George"
Set Variable: "counter" = 6
Set Variable: "outputName" = Eval ("name" & counter).
If the variable "counter" holds the value of 6 then this expression evaluates the variable "name6". Thus the variable "outputName" is assigned the value "George". This method of evaluating variables will enable you to use a programming loop and evaluate multiple variable quickly.
