1. Drag an object:

First we need to make our movie clips that we want to drag. ( Insert > New Symbol ) Choose Movie Clip as
it's behavior and give it a unique name. I named mine draggableMC1 & draggableMC2.

Drag your movie clips on to the main stage ( from the library ) and align them to the left side of the stage

Give each movie clip a unique instance name ( in the properties panel ) I named mine drag1 & drag2

Select your first movie clip ( drag1 ) and open the actions panel ( F2 )

In the actions panel ( Expert Mode ) Type this:

on (press) {
startDrag(this);
}
This ActionScript tells your movieclip that when the user presses on the mouse & holds the mouse down, it will drag the movieclip

2. Stop dragging an object:

In the actions panel click on the closing curley brace } and type this:

on (release) {
stopDrag();
}
This ActionScript tells your movieclip that when they release their mouse button, the movieclip stops being dragged. And is left on the stage where you dragged it.

» Description: Hmm... what to say about this one? It's reminiscent of the closing notes of the opening music from the Three Stooges done in a church organ style with a closing cymbal crash. I'll give this one away gratis, but feel free to check out my free loops and potential upcoming license-mandated ones over in the respective part of Flashkit.
