Create the Movie Clip

We now need to make the movie clip. Choose Insert> New Symbol, name it and select the movie clip behaviour. Now on your new movie clip's timeline add the following four layers:

• Labels
• Actions
• Sounds
• Content

On the second frame of the labels layer, insert a blank keyframe and label it "start". Now go to the content layer and put your blinker onto the first frame. Create another keyframe at the fifth frame and enlarge your blinker somewhat. This will produce the blinking effect. Now go to the sound layer and enter a short .wav file on the fifth frame by choosing Modify> Frame and clicking on the sounds tab (see our tutorial on adding sound for further information).

You have now created the movie clip.
