Introduction
I would like to propose to you a way of using SWISH movies into a standard Flash movie that is more flexible and reusable than importing. You use the LoadMovie action from Flash and keep the SWISH movie as an external .swf file.
The method is simple. You create a placeholder movie clip in Flash and position it as you like in the main scene (giving it an instance name), and then add a frame action to load the SWISH movie into it.
First prepare your movie file.
Exporting from Swish:
- Start with the movie you created in the first tutorial or open "first.swi" from the Samples Menu.
- Check the "Export SWF with Origin at Center" option on the General Tab.
- Press the Export to SWF button on the Toolbar. You should now see the Export to SWF dialog.
- Choose a folder when you want to export the SWF file, enter a file name of "first.swf" and press the Save button.
