Depth
By default, Swift 3D text has a large amount of depth. This is great when the text ends up as is. Since we created an symbol using the character mapping feature, we want to remove some of the depth. You should adjust the depth of the symbol by using the sizing attributes.
From the main object options, you should set the depth to 0.0500 as shown in the screenshot clip below. Click on the "Apply" after you have done so to set the attribute changes in the stage. From the first frame the change will not be shown very much.
At this point you can do any sort of manipulation to any object/symbol that you create. This is very useful, and I created the animation below by squeezing one of the Wingdings character maps, duplicating it, animating them as a group, and then duplicating the animation in Flash 4 using the Alpha effect.
