Select Symbol

Now choose the mapping key located in the middle bottom of the text attributes options. It is the 3D looking button shown as down in the screeshot clip shown below.
After doing this, the character mapping options are displayed as shown below.
Choose one of the stars from the options.
It should now appear in the "Text" area.
Choose the "Apply" button to change the default text to the symbol that you created.

The symbol in the stage should now look like this star shown in the stage. It might look slightly different depending on what choice you made in the previous step.

Make sure that the symbol is aligned to the middle of the stage. From the "Front" view you can just drag and drop the object around the stage. It does not have to be 100% accurate.
