Create Text After you have created a new document you need to create some text. You can do so by clicking on the "Text" icon located on the main toolbar of Swift 3D. This button is the one that is located on the left of the primitives. The default text that is created is "Text" and it has the default color attributes applied to it.
Your main program window should now look like the screenshot shown below.
You now need to change the different attributes of the default text. Actually you need to create a symbol by mapping a text character on the keyboard. The first step is to select the text in the scene by clicking once on it. Then choose the "Text" option in the menu shown below. This menu is located on the middle left of the main program window by default. After doing so, the options that are displayed below will change to match what you selected in the menu.
You should delete the default text and leave the cursor in the textbox after you change the font to "Wingdings 2". You can use any symbol based font that you want. There are about 4 installed by default with Window 98. They should all be accessible to you from Swift 3D. The more characters that you use in your movie, the larger the file size of the output Shockwave movie. In this example we will use only one character and therefore create only one symbol.
