(c)Mark Hopgood, PlasmaNet UK Ltd 2005
Introduction
PlasmaNet (www.PlasmaNet-uk.com) is browser based software which broadcasts tv and info channels over any network including the internet. PlasmaNet can be used for creating advertising channels or displaying information in public places, receptions or even corporate desktops. PlasmaNet is used by companies such as BP, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Sony Style, Toys R Us and Coca Cola in their corporate communications. The essence of PlasmaNet is that you can control screens of information from a central point and use popular tools to create content, such as flash, windows media, powerpoint and jpg.
A slide is a basic PlasmaNet component and EasyEdit (r) templates are the exclusive name given to editable slide templates. EasyEdit templates allow you to create slides that anyone can edit, provided they have a browser and flash player installed (99% of the people on the web!)
This tutorial covers the creation of a Flash basic EasyEdit slide for use in plasmanet.
Other tutorials are available which cover creation of flash based EasyEdit templates in KoolMoves and html based rich text editing in Flash - stay tuned at flashkit for these.
