Flash Ticker Instance Model
Author: Joshua Sullivan

Modifiers
Here's a chart of possible changes:
| /:multiplier(m) |
result |
| m <0 |
Ticker reverses direction. |
| m = 0 |
Ticker stops. |
| 0> m <1 |
Ticker moves more slowly. |
| m = 1 |
Ticker moves normaly. |
| m> 1 |
Ticker moves more quickly. |
The small buttons below the ticker in the example file simply set /:multiplier to the appropriate value. That's it! I'm confident that with a little tweaking you could fit this to nearly any ticker-based application. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to send me any questions you might have. And don't forget to view the Instance Model for this tutorial. It provides a graphical representation of the timelines, objects and Instances.
Note: Because this ticker relies on text fields, it cannot be masked in any way. If it is masked, no data will appear since Flash is unable to mask text fields.
