Making it 3D Now we're going to make our text object 3D. Select our text object, and then click on the modify tool panel. The modify tool panel is the tab NEXT TO the create panel. 
Click on the EXTRUDE modifier. This will stretch our text into 3D space, and make it solid instead of outlined. Enter a value of 1 where it says 'amount'. Leave the other options, their settings are fine for now.
