Introduction to Papervision 3D and Flash.
Papervision 3D is a 3D engine for use with Flash. With Papervision 3D, three-dimensional models can be created in Flash using Actionscript, or models made in other programs can be imported. Once a model has been created or imported, it can be controlled with Actionscript, just like normal MovieClip symbols. This makes it possible to create 3D interfaces in Flash, or to create games and applications that use 3D.
Here is a simple example of what can be done with Papervision 3D, which is what you will create during this tutorial.
Using Papervision 3D is not easy, as it requires programming knowledge, some understanding of 3D geometry and also requires using some procedures you may be unfamiliar with. Installing Papervision 3D is the first hurdle.
