How You Use It

Benjamin Stephens and Kevin Sartorius own VSS Technologies,
which is a service oriented technical consulting
firm that specializes in solutions for small to medium
organizations and non-profit agencies.
After being introduced to Camtasia Studio by MarcoPolo,
their client and national provider of educational
Internet content, Mr. Stephens and Mr. Sartorius
used Camtasia Studio to create a video explaining
MarcoPolo's services and capabilities.
Mr. Stephens stated, "We had a great time working
with Camtasia Studio, because it was incredibly easy
to use and the learning curve was quite small. Also,
our client was quite impressed with what it could
do."
After meeting success with Camtasia Studio, Mr.
Sartorius decided to apply it to another use. He
explained, "I used to manually create demonstration
movies in the Help file with Flash, which was very
time consuming. Now I just capture my movements with
Camtasia Studio. So, what used to take four hours
now takes about 15 minutes."
While creating movies, they often make use of Camtasia
Effects to get the point across. As Mr. Sartorius
said, the effects really add to a movie's "ohh
and ahh factor." In addition, they consider
the Components for Macromedia Flash MX an extremely
useful supplement to the product.
"We use Camtasia Studio because it's a moneymaker
for us," Mr. Sartorius stated. "It's another
tool in our arsenal that makes our customers happy."
He finished, "We've only had it for 30 days.
I'm sure we'll continue to expand how we use it."
