This is a drop-in flash hit counter. There have been many here on this site however I have allways had trouble adding them into an existing movie. I have re-compiled a new version and verified it works great with PHP 4.x. PHP is required. Setup is simple! By Dean Elzey
this is an alternative to a java hit counter. it needs a server + PHP though and won't work off of you HD unless you have it all installed on your computer.
PHP will count the hits, store the number in a TXT file and send it to the flash movie.

"TickerMaker 1.0" is a small .swf tool what will allow you to "paint",
generate and use your own tickers. It's for free use. The ticker
is based on duplicated movieclips what can have any shape you want
(In the library, open up "dotGraphic", do whatever you want to that shape.
It will be used as "tickerLamps" then).
It can animate and/or fadeIn the ticker images you created. One at the
time, or even a row of conected tickers (Read more below).
Without the nested authorClip (can be erased after you are happy with
