3D rotating globe created using Swift 3D, while using flash to create the highlights and shadows. The reason why I used flash as oppose to doing everything in Swift 3D was to keep the final SWF file size small and have better control over the shine on the globe as well as the shadows. I've seen this idea at mano's site. It's done with swift3d then a lot of work on the frames in flash. break apart each frame, get rid of inside angles and apply a gradient. this gives the effect of a sphere inside a cube. Hope you like it:) By genevieve paris
