2008-05-236.00
This was a silly screensaver idea I never quite finished. I wanted to spoof the incredibly frustrating ScanDisk GUI from Windows 9X. I then wanted the GUI to cycle through a series of surreal imagery, and then loop back to the beginning. I created a spoof GUI called ScrambleDisk, and then followed it with a few simple animation scenes designed to amuse and confuse. I wanted to code the Escape button, as well as the actual ESCape button on the screen to end the screensaver. I never did make this into an SCR file; I'm happy to release it into the wild, with a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic license, if anyone wants to remix it up and carry it forward? Provided just for fun! The shareware font "Video Terminal Screen" by E A BEHL used to simulate the GUI is included in the zip; this is in accordance with the acceptable distribution of the font as outlined in the font's readme document.
