I got an idea to write a flash program to draw a random, animated tree and in doing research on how to go about it I've discovered L-Systems Introduced in 1968 by the biologist Lindenmayer as a framework for studying the development of simple multi cellular organisms. This program is my attempt to implement an L-System renderer in Flash. Included in the zip are my number one and most straight forward version, 2nd, 3D! version, and last, animated 2D version. A little experiment based on a simple virtual environment. Random bug types fly around a field in random directions and at random speeds. If two bugs collide, there is logic which determines their fate. Upon a collision, the bug who is traveling upward will "die" and drop downward.
