Adapted from a pair of classic Art Nouveau fonts of the same name. I've seen them illustrated in a couple books--sometimes called Hansa--but never in a digital version. I originally made the "roman" for the poster of a production of "The Secret Garden". Later I made the italic which is even more of a good thing. Includes caps, lowercase, modest punctuation, accented characters, and numbers, plus non-descending versions of certain characters.And now with more international characters!
Was based on the font BARB, illustrated in the great Dan X. Solo books from Dover. Other than that, I know nothing about Barb. To me, it has a Western feel, wideset like a woodtype, spiky like barb wire. I've recreated the caps with a few changes, and added lowercase, numbers, punctuation, and international characters.
