Based on the old logo of the Howard Johnson's restaurant chain. I didn't want to use their name, so I came up with this, which can still be shortened to HoJo. For missing letters, I consulted similar Deco fonts. All caps, with large and small of each letter to produce the proper look. I like to space things tight; you might want to spread this out for a more elegant look. Also includes some punctuation, numbers, and accented characters (small size only).

Inspired by a trip to Mexico City. The official signage of the Mexico City subway uses a peculiar adaptation of the classic font Eurostile, designed by Aldo Novarese. The capital E was most unusual. The overall feel was of a past vision of the future, with a distinctively Mexican touch. (The squared circle, or rounded square, is very common in both old and new Mexican design.) I began with a ripoff version of Eurostile (also known as Microgramma), adjusted it to the proper width and weight, then drew the observed characters as well as a few other variants of my own invention in the retro-future style. Using this font in all-caps mode presents the best approximation of the original signage. Includes caps, punctuation, numbers, and international characters.

Based on the font used on the Eight O'Clock brand coffees. These brands (which used to only be sold at A&P stores) included Bokar and Red Circle. The smell of fresh ground coffee and this lettering are forever linked in my memory. Now we no longer have A&P stores here, but they sell the coffee everywhere, with the font has been modernized somewhat. I redrew the letters from vintage examples, such as the coin banks one finds on eBay. I like the big fat deco quality! Includes caps, punctuation, numbers, and "kneeling" accented characters.

Created out of need. For a 40s-style event, I wanted blocky lettering with the square "S" I had remembered. Not being able to locate anything like it, I created this and gave it an appropriately "square" name. I finished up the font and forgot about it. Then I discovered "Futura Display" in a book; THAT was the one I'd remembered and wanted. (There are also versions called "Function Display" and "Gumshoe.") Mine was created independently of those, but it is related.

(Caps, Lower, numerals, punctuation, some special / foreign) could maybe be called Tom's New Helvetica, but then it wouldn't be my first font starting with B and be my fourth Periodic Table font! I love how delightfully inept this font is.

(All keyboard characters (caps=lower), some foreign/special)This font works and looks really good, and is named after my favorite advanced programming language, ML. Enjoy!

The hype and expectations had lifted peoples ideals higher and higher. So when the man of small stature appeared, a sense of complete underwhelment swept through the crowd. That was until he bared his buttocks to the assembled mass and promptly ran off.

He wore his pink, lilac and puce kilt with pride. But no matter how much pride he had people still said his kilt was an off kilter.

Everything was going fine. The plane was flying in a straight line like it should, and Captain Jack was feeling good about things. But then from out of nowhere they hit some freak turbulence and suddenly they weren't flying in a straight line. In fact they weren't even flying. They were just dropping like a stone. Needless to say Captain Jack was not feeling quite so good about things anymore.

"OK freeze, dirtbag." Officer Barbrad screamed."Glenda go up and frizz him.""That's frisk" Answered Glenda in a timid voice."Whatever, just do that thing they do in the movies when they catch a baddie."

He never liked following the straight line, he always preferred to be walking slightly horiztonal to it. Thus he got the nickname of Crazy Carl.

He moved off the stoop, his platform shoes slapping a groovy beat against the pavement, his flares swished around his ankles in accompaniment. The collar of his shirt flared wide and revealed an abundant growth of chest hair. And the crowning glory of the whole ensemble was the three foot high afro, which threw an imposing shadow onto the farside of the street. He was a man after his time, and such men are always laughed at, and this man was no exception.

The flash's horizontal road drive was done in CS4 and was upgraded to CS6. Have fun driving in this virtual environment and avoid other cars... :) If you are creative, a road driving game can be created from it.
