That was the year.

You're so vain.

Karma Police.

More than Human.

Will she, or won't she want him?

Inspired by Neville Brody's Blur, I designed this decorative font.

Finally, I made a font that shows I have some idea of what proportions are. Sometimes I pretend I know what I'm doing . . . To add to the irony of having it "squared," I didn't do numbers. If enough people request the addition of numbers, I'll provide them.

Was based on the font BARB, illustrated in the great Dan X. Solo books from Dover. Other than that, I know nothing about Barb. To me, it has a Western feel, wideset like a woodtype, spiky like barb wire. I've recreated the caps with a few changes, and added lowercase, numbers, punctuation, and international characters.

Inspired by an old woodtype font called Jubilee in one reference, Gothic Bold in another, and Skidoo Caps in a third. My first version was autotraced and rather bumpy. When I lost that one, I remade it, this time cleanly drawing each letter and adding a lowercase and separate small caps font.Includes two cases in each font, numbers, punctuation, and international characters.

is a reconstruction of a "lost" Letraset of the same name. The original was designed by Sally Ann Grover and is ©1974 Letraset. Block Up is one of countless fonts that didn't make the technological transition from rub-down letters to digital. The digital version was constructed point by point, not autotraced, so it's very clean. I've used all characters as illustrated in the Letraset catalog (except the 4) and rounded it out with more punctuation and international characters. I'm especially fond of my @.

Adapted from a pair of classic Art Nouveau fonts of the same name. I've seen them illustrated in a couple books--sometimes called Hansa--but never in a digital version. I originally made the "roman" for the poster of a production of "The Secret Garden". Later I made the italic which is even more of a good thing. Includes caps, lowercase, modest punctuation, accented characters, and numbers, plus non-descending versions of certain characters. And now with more international characters!

(Caps, Lower, numerals, punctuation, some special / foreign) could maybe be called Tom's New Helvetica, but then it wouldn't be my first font starting with B and be my fourth Periodic Table font! I love how delightfully inept this font is.
