Chance favors the prepared mind.

When did you
first get involved with flash?
Watching and abusing Mark Fennell when building Flash Kit.
What is your
view of the current use of flash?
Sometimes used in places where it is not appropriate. Just
because you can hit a ball 300 meters doesn't mean you pull
the driver out of the bag on every tee.
Who do you
feel is advancing the use of flash the most?
Flash Kit :)
Who has been
your greatest inspiration?
Kerry Packer :)
Where do you
see the future of flash?
Flash everywhere.
What advice
would you give to budding flashers?
Keep the file size small, only use music when it adds something
special, be judicious when using Flash. Concentrate on the
user experience by providing great navigation. Use Flash
Kit to learn everything you can.
What can FK01
attendees expect from you?
I am only doing a small session within one workshop. I will
talk about ways to manage a client. It applies for both
designers within corporates or web/design firms as the issues
are the same for either internal or external clients. I
will cover the engagement and documentation process and
address some key issues for managing scope creep and client
expectations.
Any closing
words?
I am looking forward to FK01 in Sydney immensely. Meeting
people in person that I have met through Flash Kit is going
to be great and having so much Flash talent in one room
is awesome. I am also looking forward to attending the sessions
and brushing up on my Flash skills. Finally, the awards
ceremony is going to be an absolute highlight of the event
as I have seen some of the entries!
