first get involved with flash?
December '96
What is your
view of the current use of flash?
I see a trend moving towards more discreet experiences, rather than the goofy "high impact" multimedia for which Flash was somewhat originally intended. Also, I see it moving away from it's roots as an animation tool, which really bugs me.
What do you feel is advancing the use of flash the most?
WDDG on the design front. Pepworks on the "You can't do that in flash" front.
Who has been
your greatest inspiration?
Bill Watterson, Jeff Smith, Alan Moore, Shigeru Miyamoto. Creators with huge amounts of integrity.
Where do you
see the future of flash?
I see it splitting into broadband-centric and mobile-device versions.
What advice
would you give to budding flashers?
Good advice is: Don't try to put every single idea you get straight into your work. Rather, stay focussed on what your work means, feels and looks like.
