Have a question for Graham?

Interview

Where are you from?
Singapore lah! No, actually from the United Kingdom (is that what it's still called?)

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a very rough part of London known as the east end or more commonly as the home of "Cockneys". Often mistaken for an Aussie as my accent has changed in the 5.5 years in Singapore. Main reason for this mistake (trivia coming up!) is that 200 years ago, prisoners in the east end and a northern town called Newcastle, were shipped to a land we all know as Australia.

What are your pastimes and interests?
Music is a great love - listening and playing, although the latter is less frequent than I like. Of course everything related to technology in the creative field is always on mind!

A major interest for me is my beautiful daughter, Asia! She makes me feel sooooo good when I think about her and see her.

What's your favorite saying or cliché?
Carpe Diem

What's your favorite movie?
I like movies to move me and stir my emotions. I think my favorite movie is the Elephant Man.

What's your favorite cocktail?
Urghhh! Sorry, I am a beer man!

When did you first get involved with flash?
Only recently. Since joining Apple I have been able to understand the importance of Flash for our web users.

What is your view of the current use of flash?
There are many instances of good and bad uses of Flash. Unfortunately the poorer usage is seen more often. However, there are some cool instances in the music video arena that clearly show flash to it's fullest potential.

Who do you feel is advancing the use of flash the most?
Those individuals that see Flash as a great tool "outside" of the web.

Who has been your greatest inspiration?
Steve Jobs of course!

Where do you see the future of flash?

As I have said before, the advances outside of the web will provide the best future for Flash.

What advice would you give to budding flashers?
Keep it simple!

What can Flash Kit Singapore 2001 attendees expect from you?
There is a great opportunity of learning how Flash can be integrated with another phenomena - video. Video is a strong point that Apple excels at, and I would like many Flash artists to understand more of this media.
