    Merchant Accounts and Gateways?

    Can anyone recommend a company that offers affordable merchant accounts and gateway processing. Many of the big names out there are very cost prohibitive for smaller e-commerce sites. I am not looking for anything like Paypal, but rather something where the card can be used on the site without redirection. I have looked at Authorize.net, but the newsgroups have not said anything good about them. Cardservices international and Verisign are too expensive for the type of e-commerce sites my clients are looking for. Any suggestions?
