here is a new pre-loader...I've been thinking about this for a month or so...finally got around to putting it together...it has a pretty accurate loading bar...unless you have a phatk spot in your timeline?...then you will have to offset the "if frame is loaded's"...works pretty good...

    here to download the .swi

Yo Ziggy...thanks. FYI, on NS 4.5 @ 36K, when your screen
says 50% loaded the lower left of my screen only shows about
20%. When "Loaded" came up, I was at about 80%. Might be
my slow connection speed & NS? Just FYI. Wish I could
have had this puppy to learn from a week ago :-)

BTW, there were still some broken links on your site when
I was poking around yesterday. One was for the Menu3 file
if I remember correctly, or got a 404 server error. You
might want to check 'em all out.

everything on the zloader should be exact considering everything is cloned...500 frame movie w/10 cloned effects & text, 10 scenes for the loader in 50 frame intervals...there is no room for ????? except the blur loaded & the click to start...actually the blue bar could be by 10% + or - I dont think it is though...it was late 2:00am when I finished it last night!
V.2 will be dialed perfectly...I trust myself more than Netscape any 'ol day...it never works right on anything!
I'm lucky to retrieve my mail everyday!...hehehe!
on a normal movie you will have to offset the if frame is loadeds to compensate for phatk spots in your timeline...but w/the test movie !...it should be pretty close to exact...ziggy

I know that I am about the 1000th person to see the thread, but am unable to see the actual file, is there anyway that you can repost it, or email it to me..

    I would really appreciate it.

If you didn't notice - the original post was made almost 2 years ago ... (which means it is from version 1.5)

Do what you want -- you should all know my feelings on Preloader bars by this point

Wow! LOL Where did ya dig this up from This things 2 years old to the day almost. Its from my old SWiSHtips.com site I used to have.
I don't have a clue where this is? You would'nt want this file anyway, its done in SWiSH v1.0 or 1.01
This was before we had any kind of accurate loading method & I was trying to phudge something remotely accurate.

Cadence at http://www.swish-tutorials.com has some excellent tuts & SWI's for %preloaders etc.
GIve him a visit & check out his tutorials section.

Thanx for the flashback though ziggy

Edit: Looks like we were typing at the same time!
