Swish version 1.51 beta 7 is now available:

    http://swishzone.com/SetupSwish151b7.exe (1696KB)

Please report any bugs to: mailto:dkl@tig.com.au.
If you have problems opening an image, sound, or SWI file please send me the file.
If you can make Swish crash please send me a 100% reproducible procedure to make it crash.

New things in version 1.51 beta 7:
    - Error message displayed when attempting to paste a complex effect on to a simple object (e.g. Explode effect on to an Image Object)
    - Error message displayed when attempting to write to read-only SWF file.
    - Error message displayed when attempting to write to read-only HTML file.
    - Main window is moved to front when stop button pressed.

New things in version 1.51 beta 6:
    - Load/Unload movie actions (just like Flash)
    - Unresponsive Add Effect button after right-click fixed.

New things in version 1.51 beta 5:
    - Crashing bug fixed: Content Tab > Import > Select image > Image Tab > Reload > Change > Select same image > crash.
    - View window is updated after content that has been added to the scene is deleted.
    - Buttons on Content Tab updated after content is deleted.

New things in version 1.51 beta 4:
    - Right-click then press Add Action crashing bug fixed. (Win9x only, this bug did not affect WinNT/2000)
    - Unresponsive Add Action button after right-click fixed.

New things in version 1.51 beta 3:
    - Pressing Del key when the Scene list has the keyboard focus will delete the selected object.
    - The name of the root item of the Content tree ("Content for MyMovie.swi") is updated correctly when you open or save a SWI file.
    - Better error reporting when a SWI file cannot be opened or saved. Swish will now report the reason for the failure. Previously the misleading message "file may be read only" was displayed.
    - Swish now saves a backup of the SWI file every time you save over it. For example, if you opened MyMovie.swi, made a change and pressed Save, the original MyMovie.swi is copied to MyMovie.bak.

New things in version 1.51 beta 2:
    - Crashing bug when playing pasted actions fixed.
    - Typewriter bug with zero cursor flashes fixed (Previously last letter was not displayed)
    - Pressing Del key on Preview window deletes the selected object.
    - Importing animated GIF bug fixed (Previously reported an error, now imports first image only).

New things in version 1.51 beta 1:
    - Imports transparent GIF files.
    - Imports transparent PNG files.
    - Imports 32-bit RGB+alpha PNG files (e.g. from Fireworks)
    - Right-click menu on Scene List.
    - Right-click menu on Content list.
    - Reload button on Image tab.
    - Add (content) to Scene button on Content tab.
    - Improved MP3 export. Swish now uses the operating system MP3 codec (if installed).
    - Scene renaming bug fixed.
    - Disappearing rows in timeline bug fixed.
    - Various GIF/PNG import bugs fixed.

    Notes:
    - Transparent images are displayed on a checkerboard pattern in edit mode, but show transparent in play mode. (We will fix this eventually)
    - If you want the best quality MP3 compression you should download the latest Windows Media Player from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/. This will ensure the MP3 codec is installed on your system.

    Cheers, David.

    LOL!

    This is too cool!

You may start a new trend in software development.

I mean who would ever think of fixing a bug when they find out about it, instead of waiting a year...

Just moving the thread up and David/Hung-Hsin, in the when you guys released 1.51 final, will you update the helpfile to reflect the changes? Also don't forget to add this in the helpfile too.

Swish cannot open .LIV files because it's a closed format like .FLA.

    Thanks.

good idea bebo.Hate to install 7.. and find out a day later 8. But to have a icon or a program to reinstall the new version would be a great idea.

Noted in the recent 'multi-action button' example that when previewing it doesn't revert the text all the way back.
